Webinar: How Can You Show Up for Social Change?

Join IMPACT Silver Spring for “How Can YOU Show Up for Social Change?” a webinar led by activist and author Deepa Iyer.
In our lives and as part of organizations, many of us play different roles in pursuit of equity, shared liberation, inclusion, and justice. Sometimes, we feel overwhelmed, confused, or ineffective as we reach for our goals. This online session is for individuals and groups at any stage of their social change efforts with an interest in deepening their roles, clarifying shared values, and sustaining their ecosystems.

Using the Social Change Ecosystem developed by Deepa and featured in her new book Social Change Now: A Guide for Reflection and Connection, participants will identify guiding values, map their roles, assess their ecosystems, and develop sustainability goals.

Following the presentation, Deepa will be in conversation with local Economic Equity Advocate Tiffany Kelly, and Thylan Singleton, Program Manager at the Montgomery County Collaboration Council, about what roles they take on in their work, along with examining the broader Montgomery County equity ecosystem.

If you’re looking for ways to engage in social change efforts more effectively, collaboratively, and sustainably—this is the session for you!
