Facing Race: A National Summit

Facing Race: A National Conference is presented by Race Forward, a national non-profit working to advance racial justice in our policies, institutions, and culture. A unique collaborative space for racial justice movement making, Facing Race is the largest multiracial, inter-generational gathering for organizers, educators, creatives, and other leaders.

For over 15 years, Race Forward has presented this incredible conference experience that has hosted over 4,000 attendees to convene, organize and mobilize for a more equitable future. Previous Facing Race National Conferences have been held in North Carolina, Detroit, Atlanta, Dallas, Baltimore, Berkeley, and New York. Due to COVID-19, Facing Race was held virtually in 2020.

Founded in 1981, Race Forward, which celebrated its 40th Anniversary last year, catalyzes movement building for racial justice. In partnership with communities, organizations, and sectors, we build strategies to advance racial justice in our policies, institutions, and culture.
